Core Technical Specifications
Essential Operational Rules
- Pre-Freeze the Bowl: The double-insulated bowl must sit in a standard freezer at 0°F (-18°C) or colder for 16 to 24 hours before churning. If you shake the bowl and hear liquid sloshing inside, it is not cold enough.
- Chill Your Mix: Always refrigerate your prepared liquid dessert base for 1 to 2 hours (ideally overnight) before pouring it into the machine. Warm liquid will quickly thaw the bowl walls and prevent the ice cream from thickening.
- Turn On First, Pour Second: Assemble the bowl, mixing paddle, and lid, then turn the machine on before pouring your liquid base through the spout. If you pour liquid into a frozen bowl while it is stationary, the mix will instantly freeze solid onto the sides and freeze the motor paddle in place.
- Volume Limits: Do not fill the bowl more than 0.5 inches from the top. Liquid bases expand up to 30% in total volume as they freeze and aerate.
- Adding Mix-ins: Drop chocolate chips, nuts, or crushed cookies through the top lid opening during the last 5 minutes of the churning cycle.
